June , 2003 MTI today announced.. That Mike Miles will be promoting the 'RUMBLE IN THE RINK' Championship Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts Event.  The main event in a promoters dream. Two world class female athletes square off against each other in full Muay Thai competition. Canada's Erin 'Nitro' Linley steps up two weight divisions to battle against the USA's Kimberly Tomes. Lack of available competition in her weight division has forced Linley to step up two weight divisions to battle against her American counterpart. There will be a large weight difference between these two fine athletes, with Tomes having the weight advantage. At stake is the vacant WKA Women's North American Flyweight Muay Thai Title.

The semi-main events are going to be 'cookers' as well. In another international confrontation, Canada's Rayelene Kellock steps up to the plate to battle with the USA's Janice Johnson in a modified Muay Thai rules match up (no elbow attacks and no knee attacks to the head). At stake is the WKA Women's North American Welterweight Muay Thai Title. Kellock has a domestic experience advantage whereas Johnson will have a big height advantage in this. Johnson is also a two time world champion and has fought internationally many times, putting the experience edge in her favor. A great match up is expected here. The other semi-main event features WKA Canadian Super-cruiserweight Kickboxing Champion Brian Kelly (Winnipeg) defending his title against challenger Rob Loder (Calgary). This 5 round fight is expected to be one of the best male match ups of the year for Canadian athletes.

The event will also feature one MMA fight featuring Lethbridge's Ricardo Alas battling against Edmonton's Chris Ade.  A strong under card of 7 other bouts will take place on this event. The event starts at 6:00 PM on Saturday June 21st at the Old Cochrane Arena - 609 4th Ave. North in Cochrane, Alberta. Tickets are $15 for General Admission and $30 for Ringside Seats.
