November 1st. 1999 : MTI today announced.. That the USMTA will begin the U.S. National Muay Thai Championships starting in January 2000. The events which include the Men's Amateur and Professional Divisions, Women's Amateur and Professional Divisions, the Juniors and the Pee Wee Divisions. The events will begin with the eliminations bouts in all the divisions, leading to the National Play-Offs. After the Play-Offs are completed, the U.S. National Championships will begin, leading to the National U.S. Teams (Amateur and Professional) ( the Teams will include Champions Women and Juniors) --- For more details see Championships 2000

Richard Kostuck (20-6-1, 5 KO's), the (I.K.F.) Intercontinental Junior Welterweight Muay Thai Champion, takes on the I.K.F.'s #5 Ranked Lightweight challenger Alex Arnall (15-5, 5 KO's) of Springfield, (MO) in the Rave Ballroom located at 2401 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee. Feb. 12th Muay Thai fight card :- MTI today announced.. That the PUNCH & CRUNCH No. 2, under the (WKA) will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Feb. 26th Muay Thai fight card :- MTI today announced.. That Milwaukee County Sports & Rec Complex. will be promoting an event. The event will feature Kongnapa Phetnoi IKF world champion vs Dimitri Pyasatsky WKA world champion of Minsk, Belarus in the main event. IKF US light cruiser weight title Kwame Stephens (champ) vs Christian Toleque Sit-Sakasem (challenge) The card will feature 7 amateur Muay Thai bouts and 1 pro submission-Adrian Serrano vs challenger.
Feb. 27th Muay Thai fight card :- MTI today announced.. That the BTBC plan an England Versus Holland International Muay Thai event to be held at the Palace Night Club, In the City of Manchester, England. This the second leg of the series, when British fighter Carl Johnson (Stalybridge) will take on Tizani Chanbart of Holland, in a European Featherweight eliminator. Welsh fighter Justin Reeks will compete against Tizani's brother Rizan Chanbart in the Heavy Lightweight division.
A full program of supporting bouts with local favorites Ani Lowson, Nick Bold from Disley, and Saj Yaseen and Lee Turner from Manchester, being matched against fighters from around the country. MTI today announced...June 17th 2000 that the 2000 IKF Midwest Muay Thai Regional Tournament will be held in Franklin, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 17, 2000. Preliminaries will start at 12:00 p.m. Finals will begin at 7:00 p.m. Weigh-in is at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, located at 6000 W. Ryan Road, just 3 minutes west of I-94 on 60th & Ryan. The entry fee is $35.00. Entry is open to all amateur male and female Muay Thai fighters from the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. MTI today announced....August 25th 2000 That the Amateur Muay Thai Boxing Federation of India will be starting its National Muay Thai Championships for the (Men/Women) division and the (Junior/Senior) division. The event is to be held at the K.R.M., D.A.V. College, Nakodar, District, Jalandhar, Punjab India. The event spans from the 25th to the 27th of August 2000 and begins at 4pm. Team entries costs (Rupees) Rs 200/- and Rs 75/- per person entering the event. Weight division for Junior boys under 18 beginning at 30kg & above 60kg Men beginning at 45kg & above 88kg. November, 4th, 2000 MTI today announced.. that in the city of Mössingen Germany: The 1st. Yoshimura Cup 2000 (international Thai boxing Tournament). Shidokan Karate Germany are to run the SHI KON Thai boxing Grand Prix Series 2000 this year for the first time. In three preliminary Events six Fighters have the chance to qualify for the Finals, which will be held at the 1st. Yoshimura Cup on November 4th in Mössingen Germany. To this event we will add two more Fighters as "Wildcards" to the Finals. The Price-Money of this Event will be 10.000 DM for the first time. Negotiations with German TV regarding the broadcasting of these Events has been successful.
