THE VENUE:

TROYKA in the Russian section of Forest Hills, Brooklyn, New York, was a fairly new restaurant, where the proprietors had spent over a million dollars refurbishing the establishment. The venue gave a flavor of   eastern Europe, with coats-of-arms, polished wooden floors, indoor fountain waterfall and crystal chandeliers. It held etched glass panels engraved with the arms of   Troyka, and  also housed a brand new top-of-the-line music and lighting system that could rival any high class Manhattan club. This was to be the venue for Strike Inc.'s first event.

The Promoters:

Strike Inc. Promotions, is a new Thai boxing promotional company from New York,  who are preparing to spear head the beginning of the millennium  with Muay Thai events throughout the Eastern region of the United States. With steadfast assurances from many overseas Thai Boxing organizations, which are preparing to have their fighters enter Strike's  promotions in the United States, Strike seems to heading in the right direction. 

Mr. Alex Y one of the managers of Strike Inc.,  has been in contact with several well known European based Muay Thai organizations, including England and Ireland also Belarussia, Georgia and Uzbekistan  from former Soviet states. The February 4th  'Strike 1' Muay Thai event was Strike Inc.'s  first  in New York. They plan continue well into the 21st Century, beginning with their second event,  'Strike 2'   being scheduled for late August - early September 1999.
