THE FALLEN:

The series of 2 events we are in progress of organizing, are in honor of our fallen hero’s. It is also in recognition of the hundreds of men and women, who are our true unsung hero's from 9II, these are the men and women of the Unions.

The fallen hero's of 911 stem much further than Ground Zero, it reaches as far away as Afghanistan, and Iraq and as close to home as you can get. It involves all types of work and all shades of people. Not just the Emergency Services, but the workers who were digging the grounds, removing the rubble, clearing the roads, fixing the water pipes, and so on. There were steel workers, iron workers electricians, masons, sanitation workers, just to name a few that we know. But also our own Service men and women our National Guards and others. We have not forgotten any of them, and if we have please remind us.

Why we are doing this:

Why not?  If anyone can give me a better reason why we should not do this, please let us know. Many government factions did not think to give recognition to those who truly deserve this Tribute. In honestly, there are several valid reasons for wanting to do this. One is personal.

What has Muay Thai to do with this?

Members of USMTA were at the scene on their hands and knees digging in the dust and rubble over that fateful weekend at ground Zero. As Thai martial arts sports organization the USMTA did not need to be called, we went freely.  Muay Thai was first to place it's fighting men’s hands in the now sacred dust of ground Zero. These were our people; this is why we are doing this ....

 What do we gain?

The satisfaction of total recognition not just to our 'Bravest and Finest', this goes without saying, but to the 'Brotherhood', the union worker. The glory if you want to put it this way is that WE, all of us did this. And WE as a collective "Union" managed to make the worlds eyes look this way once again. That by itself is worth every dollar.
