CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTS FOR THE STATE:

Please note: The USMTA is a Professional organization and therefore must be promoted as such. There are several terms that should not be used while promoting a USMTA event. The name of the USMTA as a 'National Association' must be portrayed in a manner that pertains to its position in the International World of Muay Thai. The terms of 'Thai Boxing' or 'Muay Thai Kick Boxing' should not be used in future USMTA events, the Term for Muay Thai is (MUAY THAI), ‘Muay Chao Cherk’ can be called (CHAO CHERK), or (MUAY CHAO CHERK).

U.S. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS:

For fighters who have reached the level of U.S. State, Tri-State, Regional, or National champion, the color of the shorts are Red with leg trim of yellow. The sash loops are to hold either a Red sash or Blue sash for either corner, when entering competitions

INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS:

For fighters who have reached the level of International champion, the color of the shorts are Blue with leg trim of yellow. The sash loops are to hold either a Red sash or Blue sash for either corner when entering a competition.

CHAMPIONSHIP SASH COLORS:

(A) The color of a International Champion sash is ‘Gold’ but cannot be worn during a Championship event.

(B) The color of a National Champion sash is ‘Silver’ but cannot be worn during a Championship event.

(C) The color of a Regional Champion sash is ‘Green’ but cannot be worn during a Championship event.

(D) The color of a Tri State Champion sash is ‘Orange’ but cannot be worn during a Championship event.

(E) The color of a State Champion sash is ‘Light Blue’ but cannot be worn during a Championship event.

A fighter cannot purchase a Championship sash, this is presented to him by an USMTA official after he has successfully accomplished his fight. Before any bout begins all championship sashes are to be removed and the standard Red or Blue corner sash is used depending on the corner the fighter is placed.
